Apple fans can get £500 off the new iPhone 17 by doing one thing this week

Currys-backed site Mobiles.co.uk is paying shoppers up to £500 when they pick up the new iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max or iPhone Air.

Apple fans are being offered £500 off the new iPhone 17 range when they do one thing this week. Apple finally launched its latest smartphone series last month with the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air.

To celebrate the launch, the Currys-backed retailer Mobiles.co.uk is giving customers up to £500 when they trade in an old phone. Plus, select tariffs come with a set of free Apple AirPods 4 worth £179 or a two-in-one MagSafe Charger worth £109.99.

However, the retailer has warned that time is running out to claim the trade-in deal before it expires on Tuesday, October 7. The iPhone 17 series comes on a range of 24-month iD Mobile contracts, with huge data allowances ranging from 10GB to unlimited.

It’s worth noting that the up to £500 trade-in value is based on an eligible, fully working Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB and includes a £50 promotion, so other handsets may receive a lower trade-in value. Shoppers will receive their trade-in value discounted from the upfront cost of their plan or via bank transfer.

Here’s a selection of the eligible tariffs:

  • iPhone 17: iD Mobile, 100GB, £29.99 per month, £189 upfront, MagSafe Charger, up to £500 off.
  • iPhone 17 Pro: iD Mobile, 100GB data, £49.99 per month, £155 upfront. AirPods 4, up to £500 off.
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max: iD Mobile, 100GB, £49.99 per month, £129 upfront. MagSafe Charger, up to £500 off.
  • iPhone Air: iD Mobile, 100GB, £44.99 per month, £175 upfront, AirPods 4, up to £500 off.

Mobiles.co.uk is paying shoppers up to £500 when they trade-in an eligible handset for the iPhone 17.

Shoppers taking out the £29.99 iPhone 17 plan will pay a total cost of £944.76 over the minimum term, but keep in mind iD Mobile is among the networks which ups its prices each year. The firm has already confirmed this contract will rise to £31.49 from April 2026 and £32.99 from April 2027.

Mobiles.co.uk rivals some of the bigger brands like giffgaff, which offers the iPhone 17 from £23.17 per month. However, this price only covers the handset itself and must be paired with a data plan from £10.

Sky Mobile offers a more affordable alternative to shoppers needing little data, with the iPhone 17 coming in at £25 with a 100MB allowance. But Mobiles.co.uk has won over thousands of customers and racked up many glowing reviews on Trustpilot.
