Apple TV+ beats Amazon Prime and Disney+ with one deal that saves £30
Apple TV+ is offering 25% off its usual price with a deal that undercuts Prime Video and Disney Plus, so members can stream Slow Horses, Severance and Ted Lasso for less.
Apple TV+ has beaten Amazon Prime and Disney+ with a deal that saves more than £30. In August, Apple’s streaming platform quietly increased its monthly subscription fee from £8.99 to £9.99, but there’s another option that comes with a big saving.
It’s available with an Apple TV+ annual plan, which costs £89 for a year of access and has not risen in price. This works out £30.88 cheaper compared to the £119.88 it would now cost when making 12 monthly payments on the new rate.
With this, customers happy to make the commitment for one year will pay 25% less than the usual price. Doing so makes Apple TV+ a more affordable alternative than the annual plans of Prime Video and Disney+, which cost £95 and £99.90 respectively.

It’s also worth noting that Apple TV+ offers a seven-day free trial before new customers must commit to a paid subscription. It comes as the streamer has recently dropped returning favourites The Morning Show season four and Slow Horses season five.
There’s also plenty to look forward to, including Pluribus, a new sci-fi series from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan premiering on November 7. Other upcoming titles include five-part docuseries Mr Scorsese (October 17), British detective series Down Cemetery Road (October 29) and sun-soaked comedy Palm Royale season two (November 12).

Apple TV+ members can save £30.88 by paying for a year up front.
Another way to save with Apple TV+ is by buying an eligible Apple device, including iPhones, iPads or MacBooks, as they come with three months free for new customers. The device doesn’t have to be from Apple, with a decent option being the iPhone 16e that’s just dropped to a record low price of £494 in Amazon’s Prime Day sale.
Shoppers preferring a contract can bag Sky Mobile’s iPhone 16e deal, which is also at a record low of £18 when spreading the cost. However, one caveat here is that it only comes with a 100MB data allowance so customers may want to pay a little more if they require more.
Apple TV+ has gone from strength to strength since it launched in 2019. As hit shows like Severance, Ted Lasso and Slow Horses have earned legions of loyal fans.
Some have taken to X to share their appreciation of the platform. As one viewer said: “Apple TV+ is the best streaming service and it’s not even close.”
Another said: “Apple TV+ is a quality library compared to other streaming services. Quantity isn’t everything.”
However, a less enthusiastic member said: “Meh. Severance is the only good show there.”
While this fan said: “The Studio on Apple TV+ is by far the best thing on television right now. If you aren’t tuned in you are seriously missing out.”
