Celtic AGM date revealed as Parkhead board set for stormy shareholders showdown

The Hoops hierarchy have been in the firing line over a lack of transfers and a calamitous Champions League exit

Celtic fans will get the chance to grill the under-fire Parkhead board after the date for the annual shareholders meeting was confirmed.

Hoops fans have been left raging with the club's hierarchy despite winning the double last season.

It comes after a lack of transfer activity during the summer and a calamitous Champions League exit at the hands of Kazakhstan outfit Kairat Almaty. Oh, and the shock departure of Brendan Rodgers on Monday night.

Celtic fans have staged a series of demonstrations against those running the club, including a late arrival at Rugby Park, anti-board card displays at Firhill and a silent protest at Parkhead.

Fans have also targeted CEO Michael Nicholson and chairman Peter Lawwell in recent weeks.

While a summit between powerbrokers and the Celtic Fans Collective group only riled up punters even more.

Celtic are in rude financial health and the recently published annual accounts show the club made a huge £33MILLION profit and an eye-watering ££143.6m revenue.

Now shareholders will be able to air their concerns and grill Parkhead chiefs after the details for the Annual General Meeting were confirmed.

The meeting will take place on Friday, November 21 at Celtic Park.
