Cops release image of car after man hit by Ferrari on Edinburgh street

The 26-year-old is fighting for his life in hospital following the serious crash on Saturday, October 25, and a car spotted in the area at the time could help the investigation.

Cops have released an image of a car that could help with their enquiries after a man was hit by a Ferrari while walking down an Edinburgh road.

The 26-year-old was struck on Stenhouse Drive, just west of its junction with Stenhouse Grove, by a red Ferrari 488 Spider around 8.50pm on Saturday, October 25.

Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a critical condition.

More than a week on from the serious crash, officers are appealing once again for information on what happened.

In particular, a white saloon type car was seen driving ahead of the Ferrari before the collision.

The driver may have seen the pedestrian or the car involved around the time of the incident.

The car is described as a white saloon with a black roof, wing mirrors and wheels. It also has an aftermarket light fitted to the rear.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the incident to get in touch.

Sergeant Grant Hastie said: "We are continuing to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident.

"We don’t believe the driver of the white car in these images was involved however they could have information which may assist.

"I would appeal to this driver or anyone who can assist with identifying them to please come forward.

"In addition, anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 3121 of 25 October, 2025.

Officers descended on the scene last Saturday night, with an area at a roundabout taped off.
