Donald Trump stuns the world with response to brutal Ryder Cup troll as foul mouthed USA sinner pays the price

The President of the United States of America broke a habit of a lifetime as he ditched the snark

Beaming Team Europe stars trolled Donald Trump as Keegan Bradley's expletive-ridden rant was used as the perfect backdrop to underline Ryder Cup dominance.

But the President of the United States of America broke a habit of a lifetime as he ditched the snark to graciously praise Luke Donald's superstars after the nerve-shredding 15-13 win over the hosts at Bethpage Black.

Team Europe couldn't resist having a pop at the POTUS, two days on from his appearance in person at Bethpage Black, as they asked: "Are you watching, Donald Trump?"

And the answer caught the world out. Posting to his account on Truth social, he said: "Yes, I'm watching. Congratulations."

But the trolling wasn't finished there, as heroic Shane Lowry posed up in front of a picture of USA skipper Keegan Bradley's now infamous foul-mouth boast on a Netflix documentary.

"We are going to go to Bethpage to kick their f***** ass."

That was the claim, but the boast was reduced to rubble and the Irishman – in the aftermath of sinking the putt which retained the Cup – posed up with the trophy with the claim in the backdrop.

Bradley endured a torrid three days as USA's skipper as he was called out over selection calls and his moans about Europe landing a half point after Viktor Hovland pulled out were given short shrift.

Donald was straight to the point when that was put to him and didn’t mess around as he responded: “I think it’s been in place since 1971. The US has used it before. I think it happened in 1991 with Steve Pate.

"That was a tight Ryder Cup, too, 14½-13½. It happened in 1993. Sam Torrance couldn’t play with an injured toe. The US won that one. We have contracts for a reason, a Captains’ Agreement for a reason, for situations that occur.

“I want to centre it back to Viktor. I would have had absolute faith in him to deliver a point today. He couldn’t play. He was gutted. The rule is the rule and it’s been in place for a long time.”
