Man arrested after XL bully dies and person seriously injured in Scots park
Emergency services were called to Eric Hendrie Park on Deveron Road in the Mastrick area in Aberdeen.
Police have made an arrest after a man was rushed to hospital and an XL Bully dog died at a park in Aberdeen.
Emergency services were called to a disturbance in Eric Hendrie Park on Deveron Road in the Mastrick area in Aberdeen on Sunday, July 27.
We previously told how a 51-year-old man was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the incident where his condition was described as "serious but stable".
The XL Bully breed died following the disturbance.
Police Scotland confirmed on Saturday that a 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, October 21.
A statement from the force reads: "A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance in Aberdeen.
"The incident happened on Eric Hendrie Park, Deveron Road, on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
"A 51-year-old man was taken to hospital and his XL Bully died following the incident. The 40-year-old man was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, October 21, 2025."
