Teen's harrowing final words as she's eaten by bears while on phone to her mum

Olga was just 19 year's old when she was killed on a summer walk with her stepdad by a number of wild bears - and her mother heard the whole thing

What began as an innocent day out with her stepfather swiftly transformed into a nightmare for this teenager who lost her life in a bear attack.

Olga Moskalyova was just 19 when she embarked on a summer stroll in Siberia, Russia, alongside her stepfather, Igor Tsyganenkov. What started as a pleasant riverside excursion rapidly descended into terror when the duo encountered a savage predator.

The teenager was speaking to her mother, Tatiana, on the phone when both were set upon by several wild bears, with her mum listening helplessly to the entire horrific ordeal. Olga initially rang her out of panic, describing what they had encountered, before the phone was torn from her grasp and her mother would never speak to or see her daughter again.

Initially, Olga witnessed the dreadful moment the bear attacked her stepfather before the mother bear chased her for 70 yards until it seized her leg. Throughout the assault she called her mother multiple times to alert her.

Initially, Tatina, on the other end of the phone line, thought this was a joke, but once she heard the growling and chewing sounds, she knew it was a serious tragedy. She said: "But then I heard the real horror and pain in Olga's voice and the sounds of a bear growling and chewing."

She added she could have "died then and there from shock". Her daughter continued to call her a number of times until an hour later, she made her very last call, and her final words were tragic.

According to Tatina, her last words were: "Mum, it's not hurting any more. I don't feel the pain. Forgive me for everything; I love you so much."

Distraught and in disbelief at what had just happened to her child, Olga's mother contacted the police, who arrived at the horrific scene an hour and a half later. Six hunters were sent to track down and kill the bears, but when they were discovered, they were still allegedly feeding off of the teenager's dead body.

Before her sudden and frightening death, Olgor was thought to be a "fun, warm and friendly" young girl, as described by her mother, who had a whole life to look forward to. Her mother said: "She had graduated from music school, and just days before the bear attack, she got her driving licence."

Both Olga and her stepfather who died beside her, were laid to rest and buried on the same day in 2011. It's thought that bear attacks are all the more common in Russia, especially in wildlife areas where they are in search of food and feel the humans are encroaching on their space.
