Temu shopper orders door bow from website and can't believe what turns up
Diana was left baffled after she ordered a door bow from Temu, but what she received was very different to what she expected, but she saw the funny side straightaway
Decorating for the festive season brings such joy, and with the countdown to Christmas officially underway once Halloween wraps up, it's time to consider how you'll deck your halls with boughs of holly. Nevertheless, one woman found herself utterly bewildered after ordering what she thought was an adorable festive door bow, only to receive something completely different. Some viewers insisted it was her own fault for not examining the listing thoroughly, however.
Diana, who shares content on TikTok as @diariesofdiana, explained that she was "expecting just the bow". So when she unwrapped the Temu package, she received far more than anticipated.
The buyer revealed: "What I ordered from Temu... a bow for the door. And what I got, a whole door".
She believed she was purchasing the charming pink bow to spruce up her home and anticipated a large, fluffy, pink bow that she could display on her front door.
Yet what actually arrived was a fake door complete with a timepiece mounted above it, designed for party use.
"Temu strikes again," she quipped in her video, but some viewers argued it was her mistake, claiming she 'should've known better'.
"Literally begging y'all to start looking at reviews or reading the description, I do it every time," someone commented.
Another person raged: "It says in the description that it is a door cover with a wreath design, not a wreath! Also, the same door under the bow is in all pics, especially in pics obviously inside the house, so that's your clue!"
Another TikTok user penned: "Lol! Don't blame Temu! If you read the description, it is either written as a door flag, a door cover or a door curtain".
Some also pointed out that you "get what you pay for" when purchasing from bargain websites, given that Diana splashed out less than £6 for the bow.
Others meanwhile confessed the identical thing had occurred to them, with one commenting: "Omg this happened to me but with a red bow."
Another revealed: "Omg I'm dying. I bought the exact same thing and this is the moment I realise I'm probably going to get the whole door and bow like yours".
Diana responded: "LMAO! Oh nooo".
Someone suggested that you must "read the reviews" when purchasing from sites like Temu, insisting that this product hadn't received any reviews up until this moment, so she ought to have reconsidered before ordering it.
However others even highlighted that the dimensions were of the door, rather than the bow, so the warning signs should have been apparent before she completed the order.
A Temu spokesperson said: "We removed the item from our platform nine months ago when the listing was flagged to us, as part of our ongoing monitoring efforts. We require all sellers to ensure their products accurately match the descriptions in their listings.
"Customers are covered by our 90-day money-back guarantee for items that are not as described. Our customer service team is available 24/7 to help with any post-sale concerns."
