Watch iconic Christmas movies on banks of Loch Lomond as drive-in cinema returns
More than 30,000 festive film fans are expected to descend on the Bonnie Banks for a magical Christmas experience.
With Halloween now out of the way, attention naturally turns to Christmas. For some, the start of November might seem a bit early, but others have been patiently waiting for this moment for weeks.
Christmas means something different to everyone, and we all have our favourite aspects of the festive season. From frosty walks to Christmas songs and carols, and from giving and getting gifts to enjoying seasonal food and drink.
What about if you love nothing more than settling in for a night watching your favourite Christmas movie? Well, we may have found the event for you.
Yes, it's great to draw the curtains and get tucked under a blanket, but what about watching your favourite festive flick in one of Scotland's most iconic and beautiful locations?
Well, itison are bringing the Drive-In Movies Christmas event to Loch Lomond Shores for a 12th year, offering 11 fun-filled days of films next month.
From Elf and Home Alone to Love Actually and The Grinch, there's something for everyone. And two classics have been added to the roster for 2025: The Santa Clause and The Muppet Christmas Carol.
More than 30,000 festive film fans are expected to descend on the Bonnie Banks for a magical Christmas experience between December 12, when The Santa Clause and Die Hard will be on show, and 24, when legendary tearjerker It's A Wonderful Life runs.
Punters will have the chance to enjoy some gourmet grub while they watch their favourite movie, with street food from Loop & Scoop, SMSH BRGR, and Dirty Bird, as well as hot dogs, pizza, waffle fries, hot drinks, popcorn and sweets.
Tickets cost £40 per car and are on sale from this Wednesday, November 5, at 7.30am. Briefs can only be bought from the itison website.
There have been sellout showings in several years, with over 280,000 people having enjoyed their favourite films since 2013.
Oli Norman, founder & CEO of itison, said: “Twelve years in, Drive-In Movies is a Christmas ritual, and it sells out because people love sharing these films together.
