Luke Littler looks to defend the title as global series reaches conclusion in the Netherlands
Luke Littler will begin the defence of his Jack’s Casino World Series of Darts Finals title against Simon Whitlock at the Amsterdam showpiece.
The Word Champion is the headline act as 32 stars from around the world take the stage at AFAS Live for the conclusion of the global event.
Littler is defending the crown and goes into the event having enjoyed back-to-back World Series triumphs in Australia and New Zealand during August.
The teenager is up against the elite with five-time World Series Finals champion Michael van Gerwen taking on rising star Wessel Nijman in an all-Netherlands clash, while Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld will begin his campaign against Norway’s Cor Dekker.
World No.1 and US Masters champion Luke Humphries will play 2018 World Series Finals champion James Wade, while Poland Masters champion Gerwyn Price and Dutch Masters champion Rob Cross will meet USA’s Danny Lauby and New Zealand’s Haupai Puha respectively.
Stephen Bunting, the No,1 seed courtesy of topping the 2025 World Series Rankings following event wins in Bahrain and Copenhagen, will face Dutch ace Danny Noppert, the 2019 runner-up.
The first round will be held across the evening of Friday September 12 and the afternoon of Saturday September 13 with the second round taking place on Saturday evening.
The tournament will reach its climax on Sunday September 14, with the quarter-finals in the afternoon, before the semi-finals and final in a must-watch evening session.
An £80,000 top prize is on offer in the £400,000 tournament, which features 22 players from the World Series Rankings, four representatives from the Werner Rankings Ladder and six Tour Card Holder Qualifiers.
